Gear units for rolling stock
RESITA REDUCTOARE S.A. was approved as a Railway Provider (rail provider license no. AF 4188), certifying that the company has the capability to produce and provide critical categories of railway products in compliance with technical conditions that are specific to the rail and subway transport, respectively conical and cylindrical gears.
Cylindrical gears
RESITA REDUCTOARE S.A. obtained from the Romanian Railway Authority the approval certificates (certificate no. OT 103/2010), for the production of cylindrical gears mounted on bogies for the following types of locomotives of different speeds:
- LE 5100 kW & LE 3400 kW, v=120 km/h (mn=12, z=20/73)
- LE 5100 kW & LE 3400 kW, v=160 km/h (mn=8, z=38/104)
- LE 5100 kW, v=200 km/h (mn=8, z=46/97)
- LE 5100 kW, v=160 km/h modernized (mn=8, z=39/104)
- LE 2100 CP, v=100 km/h (mn=11, z=15/69)
- LE 2100 CP, v=120 km/h (mn=11, z=17/67)
- LE 2100 CP, v=140 km/h (mn=11, z=19/65)
Bevel gears
Among the AFER approved products are found bevel gears, used in following applications:
- Traction clutches for the bogie subway wagon, with mn=8 mm and z=8/43 (certificate no. OT 159/2003)
- Gears for axle attacks F 35 SP și F 35 P, for locomotives type LDH 1250 (certificates no. OT 121/2009 and no. OT 122/2009)
In Romania, the most important customer of RESITA REDUCTOARE S.A., which is using bevel gears type F 35 SP and F 35 P, is Remarul "16 Februarie" Cluj Napoca. Also, RESITA REDUCTOARE S.A. has foreign customers, such as the companies to which Romania has exported LDH 1250 locomotives (ex. LVW Ruse - Bulgaria).
